If you’ve ever picked up an Ana Huang book, you’re probably just as excited as I am that her bestselling romances are finally being adapted for the screen.
Her books are impossible to put down.
Between the unforgettable characters, dual points of view, emotional depth, witty banter, and steamy romance, it’s incredibly easy to become invested in every couple she writes.
One of my favorite things about Ana Huang’s writing is that her series are interconnected. Every couple gets their own love story, but familiar characters continue appearing throughout the books, making each series feel like spending time with one big friend group.
So when adaptation announcements started rolling in, I was beyond excited.
Right now, both the Twisted series and the Gods of the Game series are officially headed to the screen—and if I’m being honest, I’m already hoping Netflix and Amazon eventually pick up Kings of Sin, too.

Here’s everything we know so far.
Twisted Series (Netflix)
This is probably the adaptation Ana Huang fans have been waiting for the longest.
Netflix officially acquired the rights to adapt the entire Twisted series into a television show in a seven-figure deal.
The adaptation will follow the books in order, beginning with Twisted Love, which introduces Ava Chen and Alex Volkov.
One thing I really love about this decision is that it gives the show room to breathe.
Instead of trying to squeeze four romances into one season, Netflix appears to be adapting one couple at a time.
That also means we’ll continue seeing familiar faces throughout the series, just like we do in the books.

Which season am I most excited for?
If Netflix follows the books—and everything suggests they will—then Twisted Games should become Season 2.
Honestly?
That’s the season I’m counting down for.
Bridget and Rhys have one of my favorite romances in the entire series. Watching the bodyguard romance unfold on screen has so much potential.
That said…
I also cannot wait for Christian and Stella in Twisted Lies.
Christian Harper might be one of Ana Huang’s most fascinating, morally grey male characters, and I have a feeling his story could become a fan favorite once viewers meet him.
Gods of the Game (Amazon MGM)
Ana Huang’s newest adaptation announcement surprised a lot of readers.
Amazon MGM Studios secured the rights to adapt her Gods of the Game sports romance series into a three-film franchise.
Unlike the Twisted series, which is heading to television, Gods of the Game will become a trilogy of movies.
The series takes place in the world of English Premier League soccer, with each book following a different romance while remaining interconnected.

I’m really curious to see how Amazon adapts these books into films instead of a television series. Because the stories are interconnected, it will be interesting to see how much overlap exists between the movies compared to the books.
Could Kings of Sin Be Next?
Although it hasn’t been announced, I honestly think Kings of Sin has a great chance of becoming Ana Huang’s next adaptation.
The billionaire romance series follows seven interconnected couples inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins.

The final installment, King of Lust, is scheduled for release on April 27, 2027.
Given how successful both the Twisted and Gods of the Game adaptation deals have been, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if a studio eventually picked up this series as well.
Personally, I’d love to see it.
Final Thoughts
It’s honestly exciting to see how much BookTok has influenced Hollywood over the past few years.
Romance novels that once felt like niche recommendations are now landing major adaptation deals, introducing authors like Ana Huang to an even wider audience. Between Netflix’s adaptation of the Twisted series and Amazon MGM’s plans for Gods of the Game, Ana Huang fans have plenty to look forward to over the next few years.
Personally, I hope this is only the beginning. With the Kings of Sin series nearly complete, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s next in line for an adaptation announcement.
